Aigner-Rollett-Guest Professor for Women’s and Gender Studies

The faculty of Law together with the Coordination Centre for Gender Studies and Equal Opportunities of the Karl-Franzens-University of Graz offer the position of a

Aigner-Rollett-Guest Professor for Women’s and Gender Studies

(temporary contract; for the winter semester 2018/19: 01.10.2018 - 31.1.2019)

The guest professor will add gender aspects to the teaching offered by the Faculty of Law on the one hand and contribute to the interdisciplinary Master’s Program for Gender Studies (http://koordination-gender.uni-graz.at/en/gender-studies/) of the University of Graz on the other hand.

 

 

Focus and expected contributions in the areas research and teaching:

The lectures in the framework of the guest professorship will deal with ‘gender related research in international law and/or political science and international relations with a focus on human rights and/or migration’.  

The Aigner-Rollett-Guest Professorship comprises a teaching load of 6 hours per week in the area of gender studies/gender research with the focus mentioned above. Lectures can be delivered in german or english.  

 

A successful candidate will have demonstrated prior engagement in gender studies and research documented by publications and teaching experience in the areas mentioned above. 

 

 

Employment requirements

  • A position-related adequate university qualification; including at least one degree of a law school
  • Outstanding scientific qualification in research and teaching in the area specified above
  • Leadership qualities, expertise in the field of gender mainstreaming
  • Area specific professional international experience

Classification
Salary scheme of the Universitäten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B2

A salary in excess of the minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement will be offered in the amount of € 5.160 gross/month EUR.

Applications should include an academic curriculum vitae which illustrates the professional and academic qualifications of the applicant, copies of the five most significant topic related publications and a plan of the intended teaching during the employment as a guest professor.
