Student Project assistant

The Centre for Information-Modelling – Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities is looking for a

Student Project assistant

(20 hours a week; fixed-term employment for the period of 2 years; position to be filled as of now )

The position is advertised within the framework of an initiative of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities which aims to offer employment to students of the Master´s programme “Digital Humanities”. The successful applicant will be expected to complete an independent research project (Master´s thesis) with distinction. The project assistant will also act as a mentor to students in the Master degree programme (20 percent of the total workload, i. e. four hours per week).

Your duties

  • Pursuing a Master’s Degree in Digital Humanities with excellent grades
  • Mentoring: providing support to undergraduate and master students, for example in planning a study abroad semester or internships abroad

Your profile

  • Longer study visit (at least one academic year) at a foreign university or Bachelor’s Degree from a foreign university or equivalent educational institution
  • Bachelor's Degree (for Degrees awarded after 1st of October 2015, grade point average below 2.0 and at least 30 ECTS/Semester)
  • Bachelor’s Degree qualifies for an admission to one of the Master’s Degree at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities
  • Very good command of English

Salary scheme of the Universitäten-KV (University Collective Agreement): C

Minimum salary

The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 978.00 gross/month. This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
