The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is looking for an
University Assistant without doctorate
(30 hours a week; fixed-term employment for the period of four years; position to be filled as of now )
Your duties
- Research in bioinformatics; independent research and collaborative projects as member of the Computational Pharmacology team in the framework of the Field of Excellence BioHealth
- Participation in the writing of scientific articles and reports
- Participation in teaching and (co-)supervision of students
- Writing a PhD thesis
Your profile
- Master or Diploma degree in a field of the Life sciences or the Technical Sciences conveying knowledge in informatics
- Knowledge in programming, and data handling and evaluation
- Basic programming skills
- Practical knowledge and advanced skills in computational biology and/or bioinformatics, statistics, handling of mass spectrometry data, or biological data integration approaches in proteomics, metabolomics or lipidomics are of advantage
- Excellent skills in English
- Basic skills in German are required
- Good skills in German (desirable)
- Didactic skills for teaching independently (desirable)
- Highly analytical and problem-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills including willingness to work in a team
- Enthusiasm in research and teaching

Salary scheme of the Universitäten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B1
Minimum salary
The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 2196.80 gross/month. This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
