The Center for Entrepreneurship and Applied Business Studies is characterised by its practice-oriented teaching as well as research in the fields of leadership, entrepreneurship and public management.

 

At the Center of Entrepreneurship and Applied Business Studies at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, the University of Graz is seeking to appoint a

Professor of Strategic Corporate Leadership

(5 hours per week; selection procedure in accordance with Section 99 (1) of the Universities Act (UG); fixed-term employment for 5 years according to the Salaried Employees Act (AngG); expected starting date April 1st 2020)

The successful candidate will we responsible for the focal points strategy and corporate group development in the field of applied corporate leadership, especially in telecommunication and logistics. Application-oriented research and teaching should be initiated as much as possible. Cooperation with companies and business-related institutions are preferred. The post holder should provide appropriate teaching for students of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences as well as supervise bachelor's, master's, and doctoral theses.

 

Employment requirements:

  • Austrian or equivalent foreign higher education degree corresponding with the position (doctorate/PhD)
  • Outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching in the relevant discipline as well as several years of subject-relevant non-university practical experience
  • Gender mainstreaming skills
  • Skills in higher education didactics
  • Skills in attracting subject-specific project grants
  • Subject-relevant experience abroad
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Good knowledge of German and English

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, aiming for academic excellence and integrity in research and teaching. He/she will have demonstrated ability to collaborate constructively in a responsible manner and inspire colleagues and students in an interdisciplinary, internationally oriented context.

Salary scheme of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for University Staff (Universitäten-KV): A1

Minimum salary

The minimum remuneration as stated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement is EUR 8.977,90 gross per year. Salary subject to negotiation.
